Analysis of hair

Important! In order to evaluate the result of your studies when observing in dynamics was correct and comparable, it is recommended that repeated studies should be conducted in the same laboratory at the same time, because different research methods and units of measurement can be used in different laboratories.

The reliability of the results of laboratory studies depends on many factors, among which the proper preparation for analysis and method and time of sampling is important

• Hair from the head is the most preferred biomaterial for research. Hair from other areas of the body should be used only if there is no hair on the head.

• Stop using hair remedies for 2 weeks before giving hair for analysis.

• Painted, discolored, or chemically exposed hair is not suitable for research. It is necessary to wait until the hair grows in an amount sufficient to collect the hair sample.

• The hair should be clean and dry (it is advisable to wash the hair no later than a day before hair collection). Before the study, it is not allowed to apply any cosmetic or therapeutic agents (creams, oils, gels, etc.) to the hair.

• Eliminate the professional contact of hair with external impurities (welding, mining) between washing the head and the procedure for collecting hair.
